As we begin the new Rotary Year, we have so much to look forward to that will be exciting unique and perhaps unprecedented following a 15-month lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our Club persevered and accomplished many positive things for our community in spite of the challenges we faced. It was especially gratifying when we were recognized as the top medium-sized club in our District in June of 2021. My sincere congratulations to outgoing President Karen Glancy and her Board for a job well done!
Rotary International President for 2021-2022 Shekhar
Mehta is urging members to become more involved in service projects, saying that caring for and serving other is the best way to live because it changes not only other people’s lives, but also our own. “Serve to Change Lives” is the 2021-2022 Rotary International Theme.
With the above theme in mind my overall goal for my year as your Rotary Club President is to “Make Rotary FUN and to get the job done in our community.” We will focus on three key strategies this year:
> Community service & fellowship
> Membership growth & retention
> Improved marketing
Something special to look forward to in April of this next year, we will celebrate our 20th year as a Rotary Club. I look forward to sharing that special evening with you!
I have tried to assemble a great team of committed Rotarians to serve on this year’s Board of Directors and I know with their help we will continue to do great things in service to others.
In closing may I say I am truly humbled and honored to serve as your President this year and look forward to working with each and every one of you.
All my best,
Don Hall, 2021-2022 President Carpinteria Morning Rotary Club.
