President's Message
Greetings my Rotary family!
Fall has officially arrived with cooler weather, and shorter days.
November kicks off the official season of giving. The annual Thanksgiving holiday held on the 4th Thursday of the month is a time to spend with family and give gratitude for the blessings in our lives.
On November 13th I invite you to join together with your fellow Rotarians from our club for a special celebration Friends-giving," celebration at club Member Carie Smith's house. Bring your favorite dish and spend time in a socially-distanced setting.
And, we have the opportunity to give gratitude and thanks to our local businesses with the Carp Aid Diem fundraiser now in full swing through December 5. Mary Layman and team have received some great local coverage from KEYT and Noozhawk, as well as our local Coastal View. And now the Carpinteria Growers Association has just signed on as a sponsor providing an essential donation to help cover the cost of advertising and our website. See our first ad in the Coastal View this coming Thursday. If you have not been on the website yet, check out all the great deals you can score for the holidays and support local businesses.
P.S. Please remember to vote on Tues and to Register for the District Convention at Rotary District 5240 DC for the 6,7, & 8th you can pick what parts of the meeting you wish to attend. You should however not miss the address from our new
Sincerely,
Karen Glancy
